‘Those who lost their innocent children…’, PM Modi expressed grief over Jhansi hospital fire


10 newborn children died in a fire in the medical college of Jhansi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi Has expressed grief over this incident. He described this incident as heartbreaking. PM Modi said, the incident of fire in the Medical College of Jhansi in Uttar Pradesh is heart-wrenching. President Draupadi Murmu has also expressed grief over this accident.

PM Modi posted on X, “Heartbroken! The incident of fire in the Medical College of Jhansi in Uttar Pradesh is heart-wrenching, my deepest condolences to those who have lost their innocent children. We pray to God to give them the strength to bear this immense sorrow. Under the supervision of the state government, the local administration is making every possible effort for relief and rescue.



President Murmu also expressed grief

President Murmu wrote on social media platform May God grant the bereaved parents and family members the strength to bear this cruel blow. I pray for the speedy recovery of the injured babies.

37 children were rescued

10 children died in a fire at Maharani Lakshmibai Medical College in Jhansi district of Uttar Pradesh on Friday night. It is being told that smoke rose in the Newborn Care Unit (NICU) between 10:30 and 10:45 pm on Friday night. Before anyone could understand anything, the fire spread throughout the ward. It is being told that this fire started due to short circuit. After this there was chaos in the ward. At the time of the fire, 47 children were admitted in the ward. Of these, 10 died. While 37 were rescued. The rescued children have been admitted to different hospitals.

On the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak reached Jhansi with a team of senior officials. He has ordered an investigation into the fire. Also, financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh each has been announced for the families of the deceased children and Rs 50 thousand each for the injured children.
